This textbook and corresponding course were designed by our Air Medical
providers, and is taught by a Certified Flight Paramedic AND a Commercial Rated Helicopter Pilot, Airplane Pilot, FAA certified
Flight & Ground Instructor and Instrument Instructor. Also lecturing is a current Flight Paramedic; whom himself, was
in a Air Medical Helicopter crash last year, that subsequently caught fire and totalled the aircraft, as well as working for
a program that suffered a tragic loss of the entire crew this year, from the impacting of a tower.
This class is provocative, direct, and will address scenarios that have
occurred this year; which had one of the largest death rates in the history of HEMS. We will teach the

address how to interpret METARS, FA's, and TAFS. Emergency survival skills will be addressed, as well as FAA Rules
